Biography
Dr Mandla Mfundo Masuku, a senior lecturer, holds a PhD in Development Studies from the University of Zululand. He completed his Masters, Honours and undergrad degrees at University of Zululand and Postgraduate Diploma in the field of Public Development Sector Monitoring &Evaluation at University of the Witwatersrand. He is very passionate about research and he has published a number of articles in accredited journals, supervised a number of Masters and PhD students, reviewer of different journals and won different research awards. He has presented papers in both local and international conferences and NRF reviewer. He worked with different government departments such as provincial departments, Human Science Research Council and Department of Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation in hosting different seminars. Masuku’s research is multidisciplinary as it draws on a range of scholarship- development and education, food and nutrition security and governance and politics but is not confined to a particular discipline. He takes pride in contributing and keeping University of Mpumalanga flag flying high.
